Recommended Setup

If you are setting up a new site or replacing hardware, this is the configuration we strongly recommend. This setup is used internally and provides the most stable experience.

Internet Requirements
Download speed: 70 Mbps recommended, 40 Mbps minimum
Upload speed: 20 Mbps recommended, 15 Mbps minimum

PC
Processor: Intel i7 recommended, Intel i5 minimum
RAM: 16 GB recommended, 8 GB minimum
Operating System: Windows 11 Pro recommended, Windows 11 Home supported
Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1080 and 100% DPI exactly
Network: Wired Ethernet connection recommended

Peripherals
Barcode Scanner: Zebra DS2208 USB – Recommended
Label Printer: Zebra ZD230 – Recommended
A4 / Token Printer: Brother HL-L5100DN – Recommended
Mobile Device: Zebra TC52 – Recommended (end of manufacturer support 31/12/2028)
Smartcard Reader: HID OMNIKEY 3121 USB Smart Card Reader – Recommended

Peripheral Setup Guidance

Printers
We recommend setting up printers via Ethernet directly to the router where possible. If this is not practical, WiFi and USB connections are supported but may be more susceptible to regular  connectivity issues.

Label Printers
For best reliability, label printers should be connected directly to the computer rather than through USB hubs or intermediary devices.

Barcode Scanners
Barcode scanners should be connected directly to the computer. USB hubs may cause intermittent disconnects.

Smartcard Readers
Smartcard readers should be connected directly to the computer and not via USB hubs.
